Cream of Wheat Bread

Cream of wheat bread (Farina) makes an excellent substitute for those who cannot eat corn bread.


  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 3/4 cup farina 
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F 
  2. Lightly grease a 9 inch round pie or cake pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, cream of wheat (farina), sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in egg, milk and vegetable oil until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Tip: Add chopped Jalepeno peppers to the batter for extra kick.
