The shelf life of navy beans is indefinite. However, they will lose their flavor after 1 year. They also take longer to cook.
One way to store navy beans are in 5 gallon plastic food grade buckets. A 5 gallon bucket will hold approximately 34 pounds of navy beans. You can get these buckets free. Check with local supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries. Wash bucket and dry. Fill bucket and leave approximately 1 inch head space. Seal and store in a cool dry place.
