The proper way to measure flour

The amount of flour you use in recipes can make all the difference as to whether or not your baked items will be a success. Scooping flour with the cup from the bag or jar causes the flour to become compacted resulting in more flour than you may need.
Pour some flour into a separate bowl. This makes it easier to gather.
Next, fluff up the flour and sprinkle into the desired size cup.

Scrape excess flour back into the bowl using the back of a knife,
leveling evenly with edge of cup.

Now you have the correct amount for your recipe.
