Mashed Beans With Butter, Garlic & Basil

Better and healthier than mashed potatoes. 
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked navy beans drained well
1 clove garlic crushed
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp basil
Butter

Blend navy beans in food processor or blender. 
If you don't have either, you can mash with a fork or potato masher until creamy. 
If you use a blender, add beans gradually so they won't "stick" and cause the blender to stop.
Add salt, turmeric, basil (all optional). 
Blend well. 
Serve warm with butter.

Tip: If beans are a little too thick for your liking add a tablespoon of warm cream or milk and blend well.
