How to Make Fruit Flavored Water

IMG_0346.JPG

You can make your own fruit flavored waters.  Just about all fruit (except bananas) can be used.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Large pitcher
Filtered Water
Fruit

INSTRUCTIONS:

Wash and slice up your fruit and place in a large bottle or pitcher.

I use 1/2 gallon mason jars.
You can use lemons, pineapple, strawberries, blackberries or raspberries. Whatever you like.
I used a few mandarin oranges for the water on the right and added a few pieces of fresh spearmint.

And for the strawberry water, I added some frozen strawberries I had in the freezer, a few slices of lemon and a sprig of spearmint.

Place the fruit in a pitcher and press it with a wooden spoon just enough to bruise it and release some of the juices. Don't mash it too much, you just want to release a little of the juice. Add some ice and cover with filtered water.

When it sets overnight it will develop a stronger flavor and even more color.
