Navy Bean Protein Shake
1/4 -1/2 cup of Cooked navy beans (add gradually to thicken to your likeness)
1 quart of Milk (of your choice)
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
Raw Honey (local is best) or sweetener of your choice to taste
Blend navy beans in a food processor or immersion blender until well blended and smooth. Add milk gradually and thicken as desired. If necessary, after adding milk, strain through a fine sieve. Add spices and sweetener to taste.
Navy beans are an excellent source of protein and fiber, so they are helpful for regulating your blood sugar and insulin levels. If you're a diabetic or borderline diabetic, you want to make navy and other beans dietary staples.
