5 No Soy Salad Dressings Recipes


Balsamic Dressing
6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar  or apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup olive oil

Whisk first 4 ingredients in medium bowl. Gradually add in oil. Season to taste. Once chilled, let stand at room temperature and whisk again thoroughly before serving.

Buttermilk Dressing
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
5 tablespoons buttermilk
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped parsley

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and lemon juice. Whisk in the buttermilk and parsley. The dressing will keep, covered in the refrigerator for 3 days.

Caesar Salad Dressing
1/2 cup olive oil
1 egg
1 clove garlic
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Whirl first 6 ingredients in blender. While blending, add Parmesan cheese and whirl for 5 more seconds. Toss with Romaine immediately.

Citrus Vinaigrette
3/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Place in jar (with a screw top lid) 3/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed; 1/4 cup vinegar; 1/4 cup olive oil; 1/4 cup water; and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Shake well to mix. Cover and chill for up to 1 week. Before using, let stand at room temperature about 15 minutes, then shake well. Makes 1 1/2 cups dressing.


Garlic Citrus Vinaigrette:
To 1/3 cup Citrus Vinaigrette, add 1 medium clove garlic, crushed.

Dijon Vinaigrette
2 tablespoon  Dijon mustard
3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Blend thoroughly and pour over salad. Makes 1 cup

Sour Cream Dressing
1/4 teaspoon salt
dash white pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/4 cup sour cream

Whisk together the salt, pepper, paprika, sugar, garlic powder, oil, and vinegar until sugar is dissolved. Add sour cream; whisk briskly to combine. Cover and refrigerate.
