HOW TO CAN BUTTER
Canning butter is easy.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Canning jars, lids and bands
Cookie sheet (optional)
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Prepare canning jars, lids and rings, by sterilizing them in boiling water.
Place jars on cookie sheet and place in oven. Leave jars in oven until dry and ready to fill.
Melt butter in pot.
Remove jars and add pour hot melted butter into jars leaving 1/2 inch head space.
Wipe rims of jars with a damp (not wet) dry cloth.
Place lid and band on jar, tighten.
Shake the jars every 15 minutes. This will help to solidify the butter,.
Once the butter has solidify, label with date and store in a cool dry place.
